Pōedik is a Conscious Home and Lifestyle shop for Sustainable Living and Giving.
My philosophy is really quite simple, I believe that living sustainably is not only critical for our planet but is beautiful too! I also believe that your home and lifestyle should be a place of inspiration and meaning and you should feel good about what you purchase and how you're impacting the planet and people.
Having worked many years in the fast fashion and mass retail industry I wanted to take everything I learned and apply it to a business that is centered around conscious living and sustainability. With that said, I hope you enjoy what I've created and wish you a truly Pōedik experience.

What's in a name
The word Pōedik is the phonetic spelling of the word poetic and is pronounced the same way.
I chose this word because the definition is something that I truly connect with; "Having an imaginative or sensitively emotional style of expression."
Being a sensitive and emotional person myself (I'm a water baby, Cancer to my core), my emotions and sensitivity come through in everything I do and everything that's important in my life. From my relationships and creative projects, to my work and self expression.
That's why it's so important to me that everything about Pōedik is meaningful and connects to people's lives in an emotional way too. Because of that, I continuously strive to make Pōedik more than just an online shop.
Pōedik is about conscious, sustainable living at its core but it's also about a feeling, a vibe. I want every customer to feel inspired and experience the emotional connection of the brand in every thoughtful detail throughout their entire journey.
Meet the founder
Growing up I always loved searching for new and unique items. Coveting things that I felt were special and different from what everyone else had. From making my own jewelry or an item of clothing to modifying and repurposing items to make them new again, expressing my creativity was always very important to me.
Fast forward to after college when I jumped right into working full time in corporate retail and I quickly lost the time, motivation and opportunity to be creative. But it was exciting and new, interesting and challenging and I loved it.
Over the years however I learned that there were parts of the industry I did not love. Unfair wages and labor conditions, greed, excessive waste, pollution and severe harm to our environment just didn’t sit well with me. Plus, I was deeply missing my creative expression, so I decided to step away and put my knowledge, experience and creativity towards starting my own business.
Pōedik is a place where I can combine two of my favorite things: creating and curating a collection of special things and retail! But this time I'm doing it in an ethical, environmentally conscious and socially responsible way.
